There is no single price for every New Jersey tow. The pickup and delivery addresses, vehicle details, access and recovery work determine the quote. What can change the price?

1. Pickup, destination and distance

Give dispatch both addresses. Ask whether the quote includes loading or hook-up, mileage, tolls and delivery. Confirm whether mileage is included in a base charge or charged separately. A longer-distance tow needs a clear destination and delivery plan.

2. Time and access

Tell dispatch when the vehicle needs moving and whether it is on a highway shoulder, inside a garage, behind a gate or on a restricted property. Ask whether any after-hours charge applies to the requested service. Towing dispatch hours and vehicle-release hours are different.

3. Vehicle and equipment

Share the year, make, model and drivetrain, plus whether the vehicle rolls and steers. AWD, electric, lowered or damaged vehicles may need different loading equipment. 4. Recovery before towing

A disabled vehicle on accessible pavement differs from one off-road, in mud or snow, on an embankment or in a ditch. Police-directed and private-property impound tows

A non-consensual tow is different from a tow you arrange directly. Ask which towing, storage and release charges apply and request an itemized explanation. • Are loading, mileage, tolls, recovery and any applicable after-hours charges included?
• Can the destination accept the vehicle at the proposed delivery time?
• What payment methods are accepted, and are there any applicable payment-related charges?
• Can I receive an itemized receipt and delivery record?

Keep the quote and towing receipts and delivery records. If the situation changes at the scene, ask for an explanation before additional work proceeds.
