A roadside membership or insurance benefit is not the same as a confirmed towing authorization. Coverage can depend on the contract, vehicle, circumstances, distance, and how the service is arranged. Ask the provider directly before assuming a tow will be paid or reimbursed.
Clarify who dispatches the truck
Some arrangements require the provider to send assistance. Others may allow a customer to arrange service and request reimbursement. Ask which process applies to your situation and what documentation is required. Do not treat a general advertisement as a decision on your individual request.
Ask about the destination and service scope
Find out whether the benefit covers your chosen destination, a specified distance, or a particular type of assistance. Ask what happens when special access, a non-rolling vehicle, or other complications are involved. Request an explanation of any amount you would pay directly before accepting the service.
Keep useful records
Save the assistance reference, written instructions, towing receipt, and delivery details. If you are seeking reimbursement, confirm the submission deadline and required information with the provider. A towing invoice records the work; it does not itself prove that a policy must cover the charge.
Explain the arrangement accurately when speaking with Chain Gang. If authorization is still pending, say so. If you are paying directly and seeking reimbursement later, confirm the service price on that basis rather than presenting reimbursement as guaranteed.
These questions are useful across Central New Jersey because the key differences come from the individual coverage agreement. A short conversation with the responsible provider can prevent confusion between having a roadside benefit and having this particular towing request approved.
